Xiaomi’s Cheapest Smartphone Launched in India: Redmi Go

Last month, Redmi a sub brand of Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro. The company yesterday launched its brand-new phone called as Redmi Go. The phone is available at the price band of 4,499/- i.e. up to $65 and will be available for sale on March 22nd via Flipkart and official Mi.com also via offline Mi Home stores.

The phone is the first ever Go edition smartphone from Redmi itself which features android Oreo 8.1 (Go Edition) with really light apps like Google Go, Files Go, YouTube Go, Maps Go as well Gmail Go too. The preinstalled apps consist of social apps like Twitter Lite, Facebook Lite, messenger Lite and Ola Lite.

On the hardware department, the Go features Snapdragon 425 SoC which is bumped with 1GB of RAM. The phone features 5-inch 16:9 HD LCD panel and comes with 8GB of memory storage onboard. A dedicated slot for MicroSD card is provided in the Indian variant. Other region-specific features for India includes 20+ regional languages and Hindi Google Assistant.

The camera on Redmi Go is packed with 8MP (f/2.O) rear camera and a 5MP (f/2.2) on the front side. The available color variant is black and blue powered by 3,000 mAh battery.
